Telephone Piece - Yoko Ono - LT

It may be bizarre that the world's most used device is a work of art - but behold - Ono has transforme what we take telecommunication for granted to be, into conceptual art.

Following from my previous art post, this telephone piece is not for aesthetics. It is about incorporating the viewer to appreciate the moment as a whole, and not just understanding the artwork from a distance. By removing the barriers that keep us away from the artwork, the telephone piece actually works and gives the audience an actual chance to listen to Ono and her logic behind the artwork.

It's amazing what this seemingly ordinary object can stand for when you understand the contextual significance.

New Girl-Crush- DW(Z)

I want to be this person:

I think she is so (c-)ultimately immaculate. I want to be her. Welcome back Photoshop, oh how I've missed you.

Alexa Chung is so effortlessly chic, and all this hype about her, I think is definately justified. And How many Bayswaters does she have?! Whether it's Mulberry or Chanel or randonly ugly sherpa, I lover her look. HOW SEXY ARE HER LEGS.

MMmmm.. DELICIOUS (:

"A Forest of Lines" - LT

Pierre Huyghe, "A Forest of Lines" 2008
2008 Sydney Biennale Festival

A 24 hour event at the Sydney Opera House. This installation artwork allowed for viewers to step inside a surreal environment and experience the theme of this year's Biennale - "Revoultions - Forms that Turn". Huyghe was able to transform an audial concert hall into a visual artwork, inspiring the imagination into an array of different lines and perceptions.

That's what she said - SL

Every "That's what she said" line from The Office, mostly by Steve Carell:

My Dad's King Kong? - JL

YAY!!

How Fast Are You Going Now? - JL

I'm sure you have heard that phrase before on the TV Ads from RTA.
But what happens if you are on a pedal bike?

Not to worry.

An inventor has created a cycling vest that displays its wearer's speed to other road users. The high visibility Speed Vest is aimed at increasing road safety. The battery-operated vest works through a sensor connected to the wheels which sends a microcounter to calculate the number of rotations of the wheel per second.

Bloody Genius. It is surprising to know that the avg speed on a pedal bike is actually 15-20miles/hour. Not a bad alternative if Epping and Victoria Road continues to be a pain during peak hour traffic.

btw. This post was dedicated to Dickson who recently bought a 2k pedal bike.
Yes. a 2k pedal bike. Didn't know they could be that expensive. LOL but good on ya mate.
