Underage - LT

Is it really fair to strip a girl of their medal after she had rightfully won it through skill and flair?

There seems to be a lot of controversy over He Kexin's gold medal performance with debacles about her age being 14.

Let me pose to you a few scenarios and think about what is right or wrong in the Olympic spirit:

He Kexin lied to Chinese authorities about her age to compete

Chinese authorities knowingly disgusied He's age to seal a gold medal

14 was just a rumour which has sparked a multitude of new rumours, marring an actual 16 year old's achievement and career

____

Should it be found that He Kexin's age is actually 14:

How can China knowingly face the consequences at their own Olympic games?

Do you bend the rules and let it slide?

How do you shield a girl from the publicity and heartbreak?
