Cuban TaeKwonDo olympian Angel Matos has been banned for life after attacking refereeing officials after a controversial technical call, which cost him losing his bronze medal match. The reason was, he took more than the allowed one minute before time continues to treat a injured foot in between rounds, which meant time just ticked away until he was disqualified for not leaving the mat, and so the match ended and the opponent declared winner. A tragic ending to his career, who was the gold medalist in Sydney 2000, yet disgraceful sportsmanship by a professional.

Moral of the story: When all things are against you, don't rage quit... deal with it.

As you can see from this finishing photo of the olympic men's 100m final, this 21 year old Jamaican man is Superman. He is in a league of his own, smashing the world and olympic record with ease, cruising in the last 10m of the race with country pride.
"My one aim was just to be a champion. That is what I came here to do."
"When I ran the earlier round I felt the world record was possible because it's a new track, it's fast. But I came out here just to win."
"I am just happy I did the country proud. I am Jamaica's first gold medallist, and I know the whole of Jamaica is going crazy."
"I am looking forward to going home also. I did the country proud and that was the aim for me."
And that he did, with pride, becoming Jamaica's first olympic 100m champion.

His world record time was a lightning fast 9.69 seconds, he is the first man to ever run under 9.70 seconds, and that is not all... in a later interview, he mentioned if he actually tried, he would have easily reached 9.65 and one day aims to hit 9.60.
He was also the previous world record of, 9.72 seconds, beating the previous one of 9.74 seconds, held by fellow countryman, Asafa Powell, who sadly missed out on medals.

He is also the favourite to take out the men's 200m, so watch out for him. After that, we shall be watching Jamaica demolish the men's 4 x 100m relay world record, where 3 of the 4 team members were in the men's 100m final.
